Meet Dr. Nicholas Theodotou
Dr. Nicholas Theodotou was born and raised in Sydney, Australia, where he decided to become a dentist. He graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Australian equivalent of Doctorate of Dental Surgery) from the University of Sydney and initially served as a dentist in the Australian Army. After three years of military service, he left to open his own dental office in Sydney.
As he developed his practice, he felt that it would be beneficial to improve himself in prosthodontics, a specialty area in the field of dentistry.
He was blessed to come to the United States, where he entered the Prosthodontics Residency Program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). At UMKC, he completed his Certificate of Prosthodontics, a Fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthetics, and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS).
For ten years, Dr. Theodotou practiced dentistry and prosthodontics in the cold of Minneapolis, Minnesota. During this time, he focused his continuing education in learning more about dental implants, bone grafting and anesthesia. Under the mentorship of the world renowned Dr. Carl Misch, he elevated his training, eventually becoming a faculty member in the Misch International Implant Institute.
The more he saw, the more he was inspired, and he applied and was accepted into the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which was affiliated with Drexel and Temple Universities.
Dr. Nick and his wife Deb escaped the north and moved to Savannah eight years ago. In his spare time, Dr. Nick loves to spend time with his five adult children. He also enjoys traveling, sailing, reading about history, watching Netflix documentaries, and telling stories about kangaroos and koalas in the outback.
With almost 40 years in the dental field, Dr. Nick is excited to provide the best possible care to every patient. We cannot wait to show you our fancy, new building!
